Hi Echo! First of all very belated congrats for your son (I've become shy :P). Erm... we used to be friendly while yoursite.nu members.

Re: rounded corners - try http://snarkforums.com/index.php?topic=9527.msg287139#msg287139
Tested it in FF, Chrome, Opera, IE8 - 6. Though in IE 6 the bottom corners might need some adjusting.

Then again, as of late, I ditched the CSS only way, and do it with JS, as it's much faster (time-wise).

P.S. Love the layout. Missed seeing your graphics.

Don't worry, ie8 is not that terrible ;) There is less of a stigma to it compared to say.. ie6. Anyway! Using conditional comments is not terrible but in my experience you might as well just use images for all browsers - since you're making and implementing them anyway. Maybe that's just the time management fiend in me talking!

^ Yeah, I expected them to have a lot more but I could only find that one and when I asked that was the only one they showed me or knew by name. They said they'd all be in that area, where I'd already looked 3 times figuring I was being a douche : P I didn't have time to find someone else, we were in a rush. I love whole foods though anyway- they are the only place that carries so many delicious ice-cream alternatives.

I could probably give up meat without caring as long as I found a replacement protein source I used consistently. I haven't been using any fakes until yesterday but some (like the black bean burgers) just look so good. Although lately I've been mixing a southwest seasoning pack in with olive oil and cooking up chopped ny strip steaks in it and it's freakin' fantastic- it gives it this indian/mediterranean taste. The veggies don't quite pick it up like the steak.

I would love it if you'd send me info on how you make your own : ) I was looking into that yesterday, reading about seitan, because while I do want to largely eliminate meat I also don't want to be adding tons of icky bonding agents and preservatives. Though they're in the meat products as well, so may as well make SOME switch.

I so far haven't found much variety here at all. But it's not easy shopping for specialty items with so many people in tow : (

Whole Foods has TONS of veg options. Who told you they only have Tofurky? I'm not a fan of the stuff myself, but I do visit WF at least twice a month. I can assure you they have more than Tofurky.

You can make your own veggie meat you know. It's called seitan. It's basically flour and water. There's so much you can do with it. Tofu is another great meat alternative. I was put off at first, but once you get the hang of it and know how to properly cook it, it can save you. I'm not too big on the faux meats. My blog might not reflect that though. But it's true. I just like to experiment and try new things out. There are a few products that I love though and don't mind eating from time to time.

If you do make it to WF, look for a product called Gardein. Their frozen line is heaven. I personally think it's great for a person who is transitioning into a veg lifestyle. Or just someone who likes meat, but doesn't necessarily like eating it.

As for the black bean burgers, the MSF version is pretty good. However I can give you a recipe that's MUCH better. Quick and easy. Not to mention homemade with no extra added crap. You can easily pronounce everything in it. :)

As for the sausage, there are two that I love. Gimme Lean Sausage and Match Meat Italian or Breakfast sausage. It's a little harder finding the Match depending on area, but Gimme Lean is easily found in just about any store. It's usually kept in produce and comes in a tube. Sounds icky, but it's good. Trust me.

For bacon I prefer the Light Life Fakin' Bacon. Yum yum!

Yeah, I feel for you about that. I liked to watch all my baby's heartbeats on the computer though. I think i have a "god" complex when it comes to authority like cops and doctors. But you should definitely birth YOUR way (next time or whatever). Just plan for anything that may go wrong but insist on what you want. I definitely admire those mothers who do.
