My dogs drive me crazy. I knew when I was pregnant and I would complain about them and people always wanted to say, ‘Just wait until you have that baby…’ that they were wrong. My son is WAY easier to care for than my dogs. I would take a baby over a puppy any day as far as ease of use : P

I have gone through a lot of days this winter really regretting the decision to have two dogs. The cold weather has meant fewer walks for them (though between January 1 and February 9 they each walked about 45 miles), snow in the yard which Trinity runs to the door and stops cold at the sight of as if hitting an invisible barrier. With the warmer days this week I love them much better- like Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater and his wives. When the dogs can spend a couple hours in the back yard? I love them soooo much!

Trinity has been endearing herself to me slightly again through her sheer cowardice. She is terrified of many things, and it’s cute as can be because she’s like… how to say this… effing ripped. I look at her and wonder how someone who is so picky about when they go outside can just look like she has cords wrapped around her bones under that skin?! She looks like Kevin Garnett. But bigger.

But then the funnies start- (more…)

My name is Echo S, and you are at Echoia.com- my personal website and art/photofolio.

I am in my twenties, residing in Utah with my beautiful boyfriend, our son, his two older boys, two dogs and two cats. Thank God for backyards!

I am a non-denominational Christian, was a 'graphic artist' (trying to get back there again), web designer and learning development. I eat too much chocolate, love to take pictures of things (though it's difficult with the baby!), and boycott Paul Thomas Anderson films.

This site is largely where I experiment. It should hopefully change a lot as I continue to learn and make new art.

Fitness

After my son was delivered sugircally last year I felt helplessly weak. It's one thing to neglect yourself and know you can get back in shape when you want to- it's a different feeling to have your abdominal muscles cut and no longer know what you're capable of!

With persistent cramping in my legs I began with the first literal steps to getting back in shape- I began walking 100 miles. I reached 99.99 miles on February 09, 2010 and ceremoniously 'completed' my 100 miles with Kevin and our son on Valentine's Day.

I'm not sure what challenges I'm going to set in front of myself next, but this section will keep you updated!

100 Miles in 2010!

Five latest walks.

  • February 9: 4.51 miles
  • February 8: 2.1 miles
  • February 7: 3.6 miles
  • February 6: 2.1 miles
  • February 5: 3.6 miles

Total: 99.99%
